Just an excellent job ending this great story. War affects everyone and everything in so many ways, especially a world war. So many stories were never told about the people back home, wherever that home was. I applaud and congratulate you on illustrating that so well with Accidental Hero. You touched it all, the battlefield and the home front. The pain, the anguish, the suffering and even the love. Well done Posy. - Jim

Thank you Jim, writing this opened my eyes.

Exactly as you say- so much was never discussed, was brushed under the carpet & people were expected to pick up the shards of their lives & move on. So glad I conveyed that adequately. I appreciate your support xx

I do think it was a mixed bag though, as far as why people didn't hear it - and won't in the future, hear those stories. I personally believe that it's because of inner strength and simple pride of those at home, just as much as it was things being brushed under the rug. Other times, it's such a private thing to deal with it all and carry on with their lives that it's not only because that they were expected to do so, but many times they chose that route themselves. Again, congrats on this fine story. - Jim

Thank you Nevena - I appreciate you following and feeding back. I hope you thought the content warnings were appropriate - I know some of the subject matter was tough to read.

Oh, it’s okay with me, I don’t pay attention unless it’s totally brutal, but for some readers it’s important. :)
